Schneider opens California electric truck charging depot
The charging site features 16 350 kW dual-corded dispensers, allowing the carrier to charge 32 trucks simultaneously.
Schneider to add 100 battery-electric trucks to fleet
Schneider will soon begin taking delivery of nearly 100 Class 8 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) at its intermodal operations in Southern California. Schneider’s first Freightliner eCascadia, manufactured by Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), is set to roll off the assembly line at the Portland, Oregon, DTNA plant. The carrier had previously reported orders for 62 eCascadias.

EV Connect, Inc. has been acquired by Schneider Electric. EV Connect says Schneider Electric’s acquisition will enable the company to accelerate its growth. Along with the current management team, CEO and founder Jordan Ramer will continue to lead EV Connect’s operations as a distinct subsidiary, with a continued focus on customer service and the company’s overall mission.
