Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II announced a new grant program in Michigan, supporting outdoor recreation innovation, vehicle technology and sustainability.
Three companies – Polaris, Electric Outdoors, and Snowbotix – will receive a total of $1,225,000 in funding for deploying unique outdoor recreation mobility solutions. Polaris will establish a network of charging stations for electric off-road vehicles, Electric Outdoors will design a solar-powered campsite platform with EV charging, and Snowbotix will deploy electric autonomous multi-utility robots for outdoor maintenance tasks.
The grant program aims to evolve Michigan’s mobility ecosystem and enhance its outdoor recreation industry.
