Lightning eMotors produces 55 vehicles in Q3 2023

The company announced that its commercial vehicle customers can receive up to $40,000 in credit toward the purchase of select vehicles.

Lightning eMotors says it produced 55 units, all of which were complete vehicles, in the third quarter of 2023. Additionally, the company announced that its commercial vehicle customers can now receive up to $40,000 credit toward the purchase of select Lightning eMotors vehicles. The Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit became available to Lightning eMotors customers as a result of the company’s acceptance as a qualified manufacturer into the IRS Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit program.

The IRS Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit joins several other federal and state incentive programs that Lightning eMotors vehicles are eligible for, many of which stack, in some cases, to reduce the cost of an electric vehicle to nearly free, the company says.
