Lear to supply technologies for GM’s Ultium battery platform

Lear Corporation has been selected by General Motors Co. to supply key electrification technologies for the automaker’s Ultium global electric vehicle platform.

The technologies Lear will provide include:

Battery Disconnect Units (BDU) – BDUs are the primary interface between the battery pack and the vehicle’s electrical system.
Intercell Connect Boards (ICB)- ICBs are the electrical and mechanical frames that hold together multiple individual battery cells to form an integrated battery module.
Wire Harnesses – Wire harnesses provide electric voltage and distribute power safely and efficiently throughout the vehicle.

Wallbox appoints Luis Boada as chief financial officer

Boada has close to two decades of experience in corporate development, finance and investor relations in both North American and European markets.

Wallbox, a global provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions in Barcelona, Spain, revealed that Luis Boada will join the company as chief financial officer, effective May 15.

Following a transition period, Wallbox also will propose the appointment of Jordi Lainz as a member of the board of directors during the 2024 Annual General Meeting of shareholders.
