Lucid Group teases huge range in Gravity electric luxury SUV

Lucid Group promises first luxury electric SUV, Gravity, set to launch in 2024 with reservations opening in early 2023, will have more range than any other EV on the market, apart from the Lucid Air. The company is currently finalizing the vehicle design and specifications, in parallel with continuing the expansion of its AMP-1 factory in Casa Grande, AZ.

Lucid says Gravity will offer flexible seating configurations for five, six, or seven adults, in two- and three-row seating configurations. It will also feature “glass cockpit high-resolution displays,” powered by the next generation of the Lucid UX software interface.

Lucid-Gravity-Back-1400 — Lucid says it is currently finalizing Gravity’s design and specifications.

Lucid-Gravity-Front-1400 — Gravity will have more range than any other EV on the market, apart from the Lucid Air, the company says.

Lucid-Gravity-Interior-1400 — Gravity will offer flexible seating configurations for five, six, or seven adults.

Michelin puts $300M into Canadian EV, sustainability endeavors

The investment will, in part, allow for the installation of new technologies needed for manufacturing EV tires.

Michelin has announced a $300 million investment into its Canadian operations to accelerate sustainable mobility and improve its environmental footprint. The investment will see the installation of new technologies and equipment in Michelin's three Nova Scotia production facilities to respond to market evolution, including manufacturing tires for the growing electric vehicle (EV) segment; larger rim size tires for passenger and light truck vehicles; and improved fuel efficiency for commercial trucks. In addition, the electrification of key parts of the manufacturing process will reduce carbon emissions at the plants, the company says.
